I have worked with Ali Uren from Kiikstart for the past 12 months delivering a range of ServiceIQ Workshops around the state. Not only have her sessions been well received by all those attended, but she has received outstanding feedback from the anonymous survey we have undertaken to review the program. She is by far one of the most engaging and popular presenters and as a result we have confidently continued to appoint Ali to develop new and customise workshops to meet our every changing industry needs.
Ali is adaptable, open to feedback and willing to implement ideas and suggestion, which really makes her easy to work with. She makes the time to meet, prepare and review her work to ensure she is adequately prepared and catering to the audience in attendance.
In addition to running the sessions Ali Uren has been a partner with SATIC for over 12 months and has really immersed herself into the industry. Very few people would not have met or seen Ali as she actively engages in all industry events and has an infectious personality. Not only is she unforgettable due to her positive and lively persona, but she is genuinely down to earth and a pleasure to do business with.
People respect Ali and her opinion, which says a lot about her as a person and professionally.
I would have no reservations in recommending Ali Uren from Kiikstart to people who require a trainer, consultant, project work or business coaching. If fact Ali is an all-rounder and could deliver on far more areas than what I covered just here. You wont be disappointed!

KiikStart were highly recommended to me, by both my own staff (who had met Ali) and other Visitor Information Centre staff – and they could not have been more right!
Ali’s enthusiasm, experience and knowledge make her the perfect person to prompt new ways of thinking about VICs and moving from purely informational to experiential delivery methods.
Whether it’s small scale redevelopment or a full overhaul (in conjunction with Studio S-2) of the VIC, addressing the way volunteers interact with visitors or considerations of pre- and post-visit approaches, KiikStart can assist.
The pre-session development is in-depth, the sessions are interactive, energetic and fun and the outcomes are always positive and rejuvenating. I cannot recommend KiikStart highly enough!

The Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre is Tasmania’s Gateway visitor information centre, winner of the Gold State Tourism Award and Silver in the Qantas Australian Tourism Award in 2015.
We engaged Ali Uren and Kiikstart with a specific purpose in mind, to address visual merchandising as well as some inspiring training to support our staff to deliver the best outcome for the visitor and the centre. We had a desire to make our retail space and product offering more in line with the Tasmanian Brand whilst increasing revenue.
Ali spent considerable time before, during and especially after the training to drill down into our brand and offering usable outcomes that will show a return on the investment. This included working with us to develop and deliver an action plan that is proving to be increasingly valuable.
The second part of this, and the one that is crucial to the development of our staff, and therefore the business, was the sales training component, she targeted the real heart of the sales message and has inspired and focused our staff to be confident in what they sell, to reflect the brand values of the business which is resulting in an increase in higher value and better quality products being promoted and sold on a daily basis.
I would recommend Ali and Kiikstart without hesitation to any business that has a desire to better itself and its staff. She is a pleasure to work with and will make sure that the learning and development offered and delivered is used, has real outcomes and is not forgotten like so many other courses can be.

We’ve worked with Ali on and off over the last 4 years at the Barossa Visitor Centre starting with the SELL SA program in 2012. She’s really easy to work with, a great facilitator that gets everybody engaged and motivated.
We’ve had sessions tailored towards sales conversion, merchandising, customer service and business planning. She understands our services and the changing needs of Visitor Centres to ensure we remain relevant, viable and valued by our community and tourism industry. She’ll keep you accountable too!
